We were lucky enough to be able to take advantage of the break in the weather this week and organise to get out to sea to capture some aerial video and photography for one of our returning clients. We managed to get the equipment ready, the crew in place, the boat booked and we were heading out of Aberdeen Harbour within 90 minutes of getting the green light to proceed with the project.
We flew from the back of the Sea-Cab, which has been our launching pad for a number of our flights in the Aberdeen Bay area. Flying over water and particularly off the back of a boat which isn't anchored presents many challenges, but our experience from many offshore drone flights meant we were able to successfully carry out the work safely and get some great results which our client was very happy with.
Positioned out next to the wind turbines we captured some great footage and images of the CBO Supporter which had just come out of dry dock and was looking ready to go back to work.
We always enjoy the chance to work out on the water and the opportunity to impress our clients with what we can capture for them.
